I'm happy to create unique sessions for individual clients so that you are getting exactly what you want. Session FAQs

When are you available?

Photography is passion of mine, but this adventure is a side gig. Because of that, my availability is different at different times of year. However, I'm always happy to work with client's schedules. When you reach out, let me know what days/times you are typically free, and we'll find something that will work for both of us!

In your standard sessions, you travel to take the pictures. Do you have a location where we can come to you?

I do not currently have a regular studio space. However, I can book spaces to be used on a case-by-case basis, and I occasionally do photobooths at local events. If you'd rather come to me than have me come to you, we can definitely come up with an option that works for you!

What kinds of sessions do you do for adoptable pets in shelters, rescue, or foster?

I will happily take pictures of any pets looking for their forever home free of charge! Contact me to set up a session. If you work with a shelter or rescue and are interested in having multiple pets photographed (in their own separate images), I'm also happy to set aside an afternoon or day to ensure that all pets who need/want pictures can get them!

Do you only take pictures of pets?

While pets are my primary focus, I often also take pictures of families, children, and infants (with or without pets). If there's a session you'd like to have (with pets or without), let's chat!

How many pictures do I get out of a session?

The number of photos that come out of a session will depend in large part on the pet. On average, a 5- to 10-minute session typically results in 2-3 images. However, it could be more or less depending on how willing your pet is to sit for a photoshoot. The limelight isn't for everyone, but some just soak it up!

Is there a discount if my session results in no pictures?

While it's very uncommon for a session to result in no pictures, unfortunately it does sometimes happen. This typically only occurs in situations where the pet is not willing to enter the studio setup. This is totally fair! A studio setup is often a very different experience for a pet, and it can be intimidating for some, no matter how many treats, toys, or praise is offered.

In that case, you would only pay the deposit amount for your session. That deposit covers any travel, setup, teardown, and related time for the attempted shoot. Any remaining balance would be removed.

Is there a maximum session length?

For most pets, 15 minutes is the maximum that they are willing to sit for a studio shoot, so I rarely book sessions with a longer shooting time than that, except in special or unique circumstances. Beyond the shooting time, a studio shoot also includes 30 minutes to set up and take down the mobile studio, so the total experience time is typically around 40 minutes, though the shooting time is only 10 minutes of that.

However, for outdoor shoots (such as in parks or yards where pets are offered more space and freedom to roam around), pets are often content to play for much longer! In those sessions, I typically have a maximum shooting time in a single session of 30 minutes, except in special or unique circumstances.

How long does it take to get pictures after the shoot?

I always strive to provide images as soon as possible after a photoshoot! The exact time it takes to get your pictures back will depend in part on the session. More popular seasons (particularly the holiday season) tend to mean more sessions and more pictures and might have a time of up to two weeks after the shoot to receive your images. In less busy times, a wait time of one week is much more common. When you are booking your session, I'm also happy to talk more about what you can expect specifically, based on the timing of your shoot and any other relevant factors.

Are you on social media?
